Varidesk Pro Plus 36 Review Australia

THE GOOD

Easy to setup (just remove from box and you’re ready to go), can accommodate dual monitors, keyboard tray platform and very easy to adjust between sitting and standing.

THE BAD

Can feel a little bit unsturdy when you lean on it, although large - still lacks enough space at times, the price - the varidesk pro plus 36 is one of the most expensive standing desks on the australian market at $575 AUD.

Varidesk Pro 36 Product Review

The Varidesk Pro Plus 36 is designed for users who want a standing desk converter that supports dual monitor setups. With its wide footprint, two tier split surfaces (monitor surface and keyboard/mouse surface) and matt black finish, the varidesk pro plus 36 definitely looks the part. It is features 11 different height adjustment settings to allow you to find the perfect working height for your varidesk.
Upon arriving at our offices, a colleague and myself (yes it took two of us as it was quite heavy) unpacked the varidesk from its box and positioned it in its new home on my desk. Aside from the heavy lifting, setup was relatively easy once out of the box. I placed my monitors, keyboard, mouse and other assorted stationery products on the desk and was once again ready to start working in a standing position. The varidesk pro plus 36 uses a spring loaded lifting mechanism to adjust the height. Their website suggests it can lift up to 15.8kg which is probably more then enough given how light computer monitors have become these days.

Summary

The varidesk is easy to use, and install.  If you’re looking for a long term solution to standing more at your computer, then this is a great product. Although the product gets our thumbs up, we can’t help but think the price point is quite high at $575 AUD. Cheaper options will eventually make their way into the market and will most likely be significantly cheaper but with equivalent features and quality as the varidesk pro plus 36.
