Online training for health professionals

Go Beyond Knowing What Ergonomic Products Exist. Learn When and Why to Recommend Them.

The Professional Ergonomics Prescription Course is designed for health professionals who assess office workers and recommend ergonomic equipment as part of their clinical or workplace practice.

In approximately 90 minutes, the online course takes you through the reasoning behind ergonomic product selection, including how individual presentation, discomfort, workstation demands and equipment features can influence your recommendation.

Rather than simply learning a list of products, the focus is on developing a more person-centred approach to ergonomic equipment prescription.

Move from β€œthis product is ergonomic” to β€œthis is why this solution suits this client”.

Build a stronger understanding of ergonomic equipment so your recommendations can be based on the person, the task, the workstation and the clinical reasoning behind the intervention.

Build More Confidence When Recommending Ergonomic Equipment

ASSESS

Look Beyond the Product

Consider the worker, their presentation, their tasks and the surrounding workstation before deciding what equipment may be appropriate.

SELECT

Understand Product Selection

Explore the design features and applications of common ergonomic equipment so recommendations can be more targeted and considered.

REASON

Strengthen Clinical Reasoning

Develop the reasoning behind why one ergonomic solution may be more appropriate for a particular worker or workstation than another.

APPLY

Take It Back to Practice

The course is structured around practical application so the concepts can be incorporated into office ergonomic assessments and equipment recommendations.

Developed with Allied Health Practice in Mind

The course has been developed by Ergonomists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, combining ergonomic principles with the practical realities of assessing workers and recommending equipment.

It brings together research, product knowledge and clinical considerations in a format designed specifically for professionals working with people in office environments.

What's New in Ergonomics

Explore newer approaches, equipment and developments within office ergonomics.

03

Statistics & Research

Review relevant research and information that helps provide context for ergonomic practice.

Practical Online Learning, Not Just Pages of Theory

The course combines video content and interactive simulations to demonstrate ergonomic concepts and equipment applications in a more practical format.

This helps connect the underlying theory with the decisions a practitioner may need to make when assessing an actual workstation or considering an ergonomic product for a client.

Useful Whether You're Building Your Knowledge or Refreshing It

If ergonomic assessment is relatively new to your role, the course provides a structured introduction to equipment selection and person-centred reasoning.

If you already complete office ergonomic assessments, it can also serve as a concise refresher across equipment categories, current ergonomic thinking and the reasoning behind product recommendations.
