Compact memory foam support for the lower back
Does Your Chair Feel Fine Everywhere Except Your Lower Back?
You don't necessarily need to replace an otherwise suitable chair just
because its backrest feels too flat or leaves an unsupported space behind
your lower back.
The Lumbar Support Cushion adds a compact,
contoured memory foam surface behind the lumbar area, giving your lower
back somewhere supportive to make contact while you sit.
At approximately 34cm wide × 32cm high, it is the more
compact of our two lumbar cushions and is designed for people who want
targeted lower-back support without adding a large back cushion to the chair.
Need lower-back support, but don't want a large cushion covering most of the chair?
The standard Lumbar Support Cushion concentrates its contoured memory foam
support around the lumbar area in a compact 34 × 32cm design.
Add Support Where Your Chair Is Missing It
34×32
Compact Lumbar Size
Focuses support around the lower-back area rather than covering a
large portion of the entire backrest.
MF
Memory Foam Core
Compresses under load while maintaining a contoured shape behind your
lower back.
STRAP
Elastic Back Strap
Helps hold the cushion against a compatible chair back so it stays
closer to the position you set.
WASH
Removable Washable Cover
The breathable black mesh outer cover can be removed for easier
ongoing cleaning and care.
What Does a Lumbar Support Cushion Actually Do?
The lower portion of the spine naturally curves inward.
On a relatively flat or poorly contoured backrest, that can leave a gap
between the chair and your lower back.
The Lumbar Support Cushion fills part of that space with a shaped memory
foam surface, giving your lower back a more defined point of contact
with the chair.
The aim is supportive contact, not forcing your spine into one rigid
position for the entire working day.
Contoured from Approximately 6.5cm to 10.5cm
The cushion has an inner curve of approximately
6.5cm and reaches approximately
10.5cm at its widest point.
This creates a noticeable lumbar contour while remaining less substantial
than the larger High version.
If you want support concentrated around the lower back rather than a taller
cushion extending further through the mid-back, this model is likely to be
the more appropriate starting point.
Particularly Useful When the Chair Is Almost Right
Office Chairs
Gaming Chairs
Driving
Home Seating
It can be particularly useful when the seat height and general chair
dimensions suit you, but the backrest itself feels too flat, too firm or
does not provide useful contact through the lower-back curve.
Standard or High Lumbar Support Cushion?
Both use contoured memory foam, but they provide different amounts of
back coverage.
STD
Standard Lumbar Support Cushion
Approximately 34cm wide × 32cm high, with a maximum
contour of around 10.5cm. Best when you want compact,
targeted support focused on the lower-back area.
HIGH
Lumbar Support Cushion - High
Approximately 40cm wide × 42cm high, with a maximum
contour of around 12cm. Better suited when you want
a larger area of contact through the lower and mid-back.

The larger cushion isn't automatically better.
Choose the amount of support and back coverage that suits your chair,
body and preferred sitting feel.
Important before you buy
Any Lumbar Cushion Changes the Usable Depth of Your Chair
Adding a contoured cushion behind your back moves your sitting position
forward from the original backrest.
The standard cushion is more compact than the High version, but its
contour still reaches approximately 10.5cm at the widest point.
If your chair already has a shallow seat, check that you will still have
enough support beneath your thighs once the cushion is installed.
Position It Around Your Lower Back, Not Simply the Centre of the Chair
People differ in torso length, chair height and where the inward curve of
the lower back sits.
The cushion should be positioned where its contour provides useful contact
behind you rather than simply where it looks visually centred on the backrest.
1
Secure the Cushion
Place the elastic strap around a compatible backrest and position the
cushion around the lower-back area.
2
Sit Back Naturally
Settle into the chair rather than deliberately forcing yourself into
an exaggerated upright posture.
3
Fine-Tune the Height
Move the cushion until the contour feels supportive rather than
creating a strong or uncomfortable pressure point.
The Elastic Strap Helps Keep the Support Where You Put It
A lumbar cushion is much less useful if it continually slides down or
moves every time you sit.
The elastic back strap helps secure the cushion against a compatible chair
back so you can maintain a more consistent position throughout the day.
i
Chair shapes vary.
Check that your backrest provides a suitable surface for the elastic
strap to wrap around securely.
Also Useful on Firm Gaming-Style Backrests
Some gaming and high-backed chairs have a relatively firm or flat surface
through the lower-back area.
If the chair otherwise fits you, adding a compact memory foam lumbar
cushion can provide a softer, more contoured contact point without replacing
the entire chair.
Check that the extra contour does not push you too far forward or make the
seat feel too short.
Compact Enough to Consider for Driving Too
The cushion can also be used on compatible vehicle seats where additional
lower-back contact is desired.
Its smaller 34 × 32cm size may suit users who do not want the larger amount
of back coverage provided by the High version.
Using it in a vehicle?
Make Sure It Doesn't Interfere with Your Driving Position
Position the cushion before driving and confirm that you can still sit
securely, use your seatbelt correctly and comfortably reach the steering
wheel and pedals.
Do not use the cushion if it interferes with the seat, head restraint,
seatbelt or another vehicle safety feature.
Memory Foam Provides a Supportive but Responsive Surface
The memory foam core compresses as you lean against it rather than behaving
like a completely rigid block behind your back.
How firm or pronounced the cushion feels can vary according to your body,
the existing chair shape, temperature and how much pressure is placed
against the foam.
The support should feel useful without forcing you away from a comfortable
seated position.
Use Lumbar Support to Support Your Posture, Not Lock You into One
There is no need to hold yourself rigidly upright simply because a
lumbar cushion is behind you.
The cushion is there to provide a shaped contact surface while you sit.
Continue changing position, moving, standing and taking regular breaks
from prolonged sitting throughout the day.
If the cushion feels as though it is forcing you into an unnatural
position, adjust its height or reconsider whether the shape is right for
your chair.
It Can Improve a Backrest, but It Can't Fix Every Chair Problem
A lumbar cushion can be useful when the main issue is lack of support
through the lower back.
It cannot correct a chair that is fundamentally the wrong size or height
for you.
-
It won't lower a chair that is too high
-
It won't correct a seat that is excessively deep
-
It won't fix poorly positioned armrests
-
It won't change an unsuitable desk height
-
It won't replace regular movement
-
It can't guarantee relief from back symptoms
Breathable Black Mesh Cover
The cushion uses a durable black mesh outer cover suited to regular office,
home and vehicle use.
The cover can be removed for machine washing, helping keep the cushion
cleaner over time.
Remove the outer cover from the memory foam before washing and follow the
supplied care instructions.
Considering Lumbar Support Because Your Back Is Already Uncomfortable?
Changing how the chair contacts your lower back may make prolonged sitting
feel more comfortable for some people.
However, a lumbar support cushion is not a treatment for back pain and
cannot guarantee symptom relief.
Chair fit, workstation setup, sitting duration, movement, previous injury
and individual health factors can all affect how you feel while seated.
Persistent, significant or unexplained back pain should be assessed by
an appropriate health professional.
Please check suitability before opening
Support Cushions Cannot Be Returned Once Opened
Due to hygiene requirements, support cushions are non-returnable once opened.
Before removing the cushion from its packaging, check the
34 × 32cm dimensions, the approximately
6.5–10.5cm contour and the available space on your chair.
If you're unsure whether the standard or High cushion is more appropriate,
use the Ask a Question option before opening the product.
