Left-handed vertical ergonomic mouse

A Genuine Left-Handed Vertical Mouse for Medium to Large Hands

The Evoluent VML4 is the left-handed version of Evoluent's established VerticalMouse 4, with the entire body, thumb support and button layout shaped specifically around the left hand.

Its upright, handshake-style design supports the hand in a more vertical orientation than a conventional flat mouse, reducing the amount of forearm rotation required to place the palm towards the desk.

Designed for medium to large left hands, it combines a sculpted full-hand shape with six controls, adjustable pointer speed and reliable wired USB connectivity.

Not an ambidextrous mouse turned around — this one is shaped specifically for the left hand.

The thumb support sits on the right side of the mouse while the primary finger controls sit on the left, creating a true mirror-image layout for left-handed users.

Why Use a Vertical Mouse?

With a conventional flat mouse, the forearm rotates inwards so the palm faces down towards the desk.

The Evoluent VML4 turns the mouse body onto a more upright orientation, allowing the hand to approach it in a position closer to a handshake.

The sculpted body then supports the fingers, palm and thumb around the mouse so you can control it without relying on a flat, palm-down grip.

Best Suited to Medium and Large Left Hands

Evoluent recommends the regular VerticalMouse 4 Left for hands measuring approximately 178mm or longer from the wrist crease to the tip of the middle finger.

Its full-size sculpted body gives the palm, fingers and thumb substantial contact with the mouse, making hand size an important part of selecting the right model.

Controls Positioned Around the Fingers and Thumb

The VM4L provides six controls with default functions including primary click, secondary click, middle click, forward, back and scrolling.

The main finger controls sit beneath the fingers while two additional buttons are positioned around the thumb area, allowing common navigation functions without repeatedly returning to the keyboard.

Evoluent also uses an optical scroll-wheel mechanism designed for smooth, durable operation.

Change Pointer Speed Directly from the Mouse

A dedicated pointer-speed control lets you switch between four hardware sensitivity levels without opening your computer's mouse settings.

Illuminated indicators show the current level, making it easy to use a slower setting for precise cursor work or a faster setting when moving across larger displays.

Plug In and Use It — Then Customise Further on Windows

The Evoluent VML4 works as a standard USB mouse without needing additional software for normal clicking and scrolling.

Windows users can optionally install Evoluent Mouse Manager to customise button functions, assign keyboard shortcuts and configure different commands for different applications.

Using macOS? Core mouse functions are supported, but Evoluent Mouse Manager is currently Windows-only. Button functions therefore remain fixed on macOS unless compatible third-party software is used.

Reliable Wired USB Connection

The VM4L connects through a USB Type-A cable approximately 2.1 metres long.

That makes it a straightforward option for permanent office workstations: no pairing, receiver management, batteries or charging required.

Computers equipped only with USB-C ports will require a suitable USB-A to USB-C adapter or hub.

Sculpted Full-Hand Support

At approximately 8.9cm wide × 11.1cm long × 8cm high, the VML4 has a substantial vertical body designed to support a medium-to-large hand.

A thumb rest and lower finger flange help give the thumb and smaller fingers dedicated support around the sides of the mouse rather than leaving them unsupported against the desk.

Very good mouse

It's taken a little bit of adjustment, but I'm glad I bought this new model - it's slightly better shaped for my (medium) hand that the original model and it's very comfortable.

Evoluent VML4 Mouse

Very easy comfortable to use. It has definitely reduced the pain in my have and arm. I would recommend changing to one of these, I wish I had known about these years ago. Only negative thing is it didn't come with an instruction book, so when I took it to work it took a while to work out how to work it correctly on the different programmes I use at work.

If your product becomes faulty or malfunctions within the warranty period, you can lodge a warranty claim via our returns portal. We will work with you to arrange either a repair or replacement, depending on the issue.

I bought the Ergoslider as I get migraines

I bought the Ergoslider as I get migraines, a sore neck and shoulder from mouse use. I like that it is ambidextrous as that means I can use both hands. I am however still experiencing a sore shoulderblade and neck when I use it, but it has been a chronic problem for a while so it may take time. I am struggling to find a comfortable position for the keyboard behind the slider. I have a smaller one without numbers on the side, but it it is too low to use easily and when I put it on a book it still doesn’t feel comfortable and it’s causing discomfort in my hand and wrist. So unfortunately it hasn’t been the answer I was hoping it would be. I’m open to any feedback or suggestions as to how to make it work better with the keyboard. I don’t really like resting my hands on the ergo pad as I am used to just typing with my hands floating. Thanks for any help.

An absolute godsend.

Having just been diagnosed with Proximal Hamstring Tedinopathy the idea of 24 hours on a plane filled me with dread, sitting in a car for more than an hour was incredibly painful. The cushion arrived just in time. There was no pain during the flights. If you didn't have an injury you wouldn't choose it for comfort. But if you have PHT, it's an absolute godsend.

Wrist pain relief, natural curvature of my hands supported

I purchased this to relieve wrist pain I was getting in my largely computer based work. I was surprised how small it was, but how much better my hand posture was.
