Its substantial sculpted body supports the palm, thumb and fingers, while easy-to-reach controls and four pointer-speed settings give you precise control without needing to change your grip.

Choose between a wired USB model for a permanent workstation or a wireless USB receiver model for a cleaner cable-free setup.

Why Change the Angle of Your Hand?

A conventional mouse generally places the palm towards the desk, requiring the forearm to rotate inwards during use.

The Evoluent VMR4 turns the working surface of the mouse onto its side, allowing the hand to approach it in a position closer to a handshake.

The thumb rests on one side while the fingers operate the controls from the other, giving the hand a supported position around the mouse body.

Choosing the Right Evoluent Size

Evoluent recommends the regular VerticalMouse 4 Right for users with a hand length of approximately 178mm or greater, measured from the wrist crease to the tip of the middle finger.

For smaller right hands, Evoluent also produces a separate VerticalMouse 4 Small. Choosing the correct size helps ensure the fingers, palm and thumb naturally align with the sculpted controls and supports.

Controls Positioned Where Your Fingers Naturally Rest

The VMR4 provides six controls with default functions including primary click, forward, middle click, secondary click, back and scrolling.

The main controls sit beneath the fingers while additional navigation buttons are positioned around the thumb area, giving you access to common functions without repeatedly moving back to the keyboard.

A lower finger lip also helps keep the smaller fingers supported away from the desk surface as you move the mouse.

Plug-and-Play with Optional Button Customisation

Standard mouse functions work without installing additional software on compatible computers.

Windows users can optionally install Evoluent Mouse Manager to customise button and wheel functions, create shortcuts and even assign different functions in different applications.

Using macOS? Core mouse functions are supported, but Evoluent Mouse Manager is currently Windows-only. Additional button functions therefore remain fixed on macOS unless compatible third-party software is used.

I bought the Ergoslider as I get migraines

I bought the Ergoslider as I get migraines, a sore neck and shoulder from mouse use. I like that it is ambidextrous as that means I can use both hands. I am however still experiencing a sore shoulderblade and neck when I use it, but it has been a chronic problem for a while so it may take time. I am struggling to find a comfortable position for the keyboard behind the slider. I have a smaller one without numbers on the side, but it it is too low to use easily and when I put it on a book it still doesn’t feel comfortable and it’s causing discomfort in my hand and wrist. So unfortunately it hasn’t been the answer I was hoping it would be. I’m open to any feedback or suggestions as to how to make it work better with the keyboard. I don’t really like resting my hands on the ergo pad as I am used to just typing with my hands floating. Thanks for any help.

An absolute godsend.

Having just been diagnosed with Proximal Hamstring Tedinopathy the idea of 24 hours on a plane filled me with dread, sitting in a car for more than an hour was incredibly painful. The cushion arrived just in time. There was no pain during the flights. If you didn't have an injury you wouldn't choose it for comfort. But if you have PHT, it's an absolute godsend.

Wrist pain relief, natural curvature of my hands supported

I purchased this to relieve wrist pain I was getting in my largely computer based work. I was surprised how small it was, but how much better my hand posture was. It took some getting used to, and now I can't go back to a regular keyboard. I love that I can fold it up and toss it in my bag, as I work in a hybrid role and move stations regularly.
